"Since first trying the ETP Project Management
Workshop in November 2006, Hertz has sent 45 (and are planning to send
another 25) employees on this programme. Our employees have learnt simple
and practical tools which they have been able to put to immediate use
in their work - suddenly project management has lost it's mystique!
I have noticed the impact in my own team. Our trainers are now approaching
projects with more confidence. They really believe in their ability
to deliver a project in a realistic timeframe and meeting the needs
of their customers."
Mary Rogers Training & Development Manager Hertz Europe
Service Centre
"The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI)
is a centre of excellence in Irish and international medical education.
We are delighted to work with ETP through a preferred supplier arrangement.
This allows us satisfy our requirements with great flexibility, especially
by participating in open workshops. The feedback from our delegates
has been very favourable and the resulting networking is particularly
beneficial as it allows College delegates to share with and learn from
other participants working in a variety of industries and with different
backgrounds."
Alan Howard HR Manager Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland
(RCSI)
"The Rehab Group IT Department has become more project
focused in recent years. The ETP/IP service from ETP Ireland has allowed
us to train key staff in our chosen project management methodology (the
10 steps method from ETP Ireland) in a very cost effective manner and
has allowed us to increase the value derived from our training budget.
In addition, the online materials and newsletters offered as part of
the service are of excellent quality and reinforce the method taught
in the training sessions."
Robert Younger Senior IT Project Manager Information
Technology Rehab Group
"Fergus and ETP have consistently delivered world
class training programmes for Barnardos which have helped to bring about
real behaviour change and the successful delivery of many major projects
throughout the organisation. The training is central to the culture
we are developing in Barnardos as we attempt to implement our strategic
developments in the coming years.
ETP's practical and sensible approach is relevant to staff and individuals
at all levels and I cannot recommend them highly enough. The three day
sessions have made a real difference to all of the delegates in Barnardos
who have had the opportunity to attend. Selecting ETP for Project Management
training has been one of the most effective investments I have made
as a training manager for staff in Barnardos"
Liam Carey Training & Development Manager Barnardos
Our objective was to deliver Corvil's next-generation
product, to a very aggressive time-scale. This project is currently
running to target and is due to finish on schedule. We
believe that putting our project managers through ETP's 3-day Structured
Project Management Workshop made a profound difference to our capability
to get this product to market on time and within budget. It's
as ETP says - their method works! If you're a product development company
and you're serious about getting your products out the door, then you'd
be nuts not to use this method.
Gary Moloney - Program Manager - Corvil
"We could not have achieved all that we did without
your help and assistance. You came on board at an early stage in the
planning of the Games and the application of best practice project management
was a vital ingredient in that success."
Mary Davis, CEO, Special Olympics World Games 2003
(ETP beat all the large international consulting
firms to secure this project. ETP's costs were a fraction of what the
other firms were proposing. The project was delivered on time, under
budget and is widely regarded as having been an outstanding national
success)
ETP put in place the entire programme management
infrastructure for Elan's IT organisation.
The bill was 10% of what a large US consulting firm (Software Sciences)
was quoting them.
ETP worked with a large group of diverse stakeholders
to develop the plan for Ireland's waste recycling strategy 2001-2005.
(This strategy is currently one year ahead of target. A 1-day session
with preparation beforehand and clean up afterwards was all it took
to do this. The organisation (Repak) believed
it would have taken them months of work otherwise.
"Most people have worked, at one time or another,
in companies that drift from one missed target to the next, where project
overruns are the norm and where dates have little meaning. Here failure
is self fulfilling. At the heart of any company's core competence, must
be an ability to execute on its plans.
The ETP method and lessons are relevant for companies
and individuals. They are life-long lessons which are pivotal to success
for both.
So if you're creating an 'execution based' organization,
if you're running a 'bet-the-company' project, or if you need a guaranteed
result I would advise you to stop what you're doing, lift the phone
and call ETP. You won't regret it!"
Paul Fox, COO, Cognotec
"Project's going over budget or missing deadlines,
continues to be the biggest problem affecting the software industry.
That's why I think that ETP's elegantly simple solution to this problem
is more important now than it ever was."
Raomal Perera, CEO, Valista
Coca Cola - a 2-day session
was enough to scope, plan and launch a major change in corporate strategy
involving many plants and hundreds of staff. The company believed the
exercise would have taken them months otherwise.
"The objective in summary was to quadruple
the size of this facility, take the work force from 105 to 330 and transfer
the largest plant in the corporation into Cork in less then 18 months.
We found ETP's approach aligned itself very well
with our Business Process Excellence program so well in fact that they
have been appointed as our partners for our International affiliates.
Project management was seen as the first process and most critical to
be overhauled in this program. Having worked with ETP gave us a big
jump on the rest of the SHO sites. The process we introduced is now
a benchmark in this organisation and will stay with us for a long time
to come. The team completed their project on time with an outstanding
quality performance and well within budget and at no stage were they
ever unsure of where they were in terms of timing and issues.
I would recommend ETP to organisations as a great
partner for introducing a project management methodology to their people."
John Crowley, Project Manager, Stryker Osteonics,
